* To ensure your website performance is not impacted by others we monitor the cpu and bandwidth used by all accounts. Most hosting companies use bandwidth but 1GB or 100GB costs no different. The problem is the cpu% your site uses. Theoretically a constant 1% would mean a 100 similar sites could operate on the same server, but reality is different. A server working at 100% would be useless. Any more than 20% in short bursts and you are in trouble. The cpu rates above show the allowable burst before we contact you to discuss upgrades. The bandwidth is a signal for Standard and Advanced accounts so upgrade to Exchange, and the 50GB bandwidth for the Exchange account is notice that you will soon need to upgrade to your own VPS or Dedicated server.
++ It is the owners responsibility to ensure their email address is up to date in our client system. It is this email address we use to send bandwidth and cpu warnings to. We understand how frustrating it can be for a website to be disabled because it has exceeded bandwidth or over used cpu but it is equally frustrating to be hosted on a server where other site owners ignore the warnings and their reticence in upgrading impacts the performance of your site, so please make sure your email is up to date!
