How to create a mysql database

To create a mysql database

Your hosting package might not be able to have any more databases added, The control panel will tell you if you have run out.

1) Log into the helm control panel.
2) Click the "Domains" icon.
3) Click your domain in the list.
4) Click the "Database Manager" icon.
5) Click "Add New".
6) Select "Mysql".
7) Enter the name of the database you wish to use.
8) Click "Save".

To add a user to a mysql database

1) Log into the helm control panel.
2) Click the "Domains" icon.
3) Click your domain in the list.
4) Click the "Database Manager" icon.
5) Click on the database you wish to add a user to.
6) Click "Add New" in the users section.
7) Enter the username/password and confirm the password.
8) Click "Save".

You will now have a new database to use with an account to access it.
Go to the top of the page

Hi Brian,

Host = localhost

Thats if the script is running on the server, If its remote access (such as your pc connecting) you need to use the IP of the server (or your domain name)
