SYMPTOMS

You see one or both of the following warnings:-

Warning: dl() has been disabled for security reasons

Warning: dl(): Dynamically loaded extensions aren't enabled

Warning: dl(): Dynamically loaded extentions aren't enabled

CAUSE

The web host has not enabled dynamically loaded extensions.

SOLUTION

Ask your web host to set enable_dl = 1 in the PHP.INI

FURTHER INFORMATION

Most web hosting companies understand the purpose of this function and have no objection to switching it on as few PHP scripts will operate without it. If they do object then there will be other feature rich functions missing from the PHP installation and it maybe advisable to find a new host.
