Image Surfbar, Custom image surfbar - Doesn't have to cost that much ;) Options

I found a lot cheaper way to get images on the surfbar for the ventrino TE script, instead of those 4 colors. I was happy cause I wasn't ready to pay $80 for this on a brand new site.

So I would like to offer this alternative, and create custom images for a total price of $10 (10 USD)

Below is a sample on what I put up at my own site:

Before you start beating me up....I've been waiting on approval/rejection on scripts promotion since May 1st.

Introducing the BLG Marketing surfbar. What makes it so different?


The Big Things
1)The top frame is locked. No more distorting the main bar layout caused by overflow from top frame.
2)All of the old text and links have been moved to clean up the overall bar appearence.
3)Now dispays members name instead of ID and can change color seperately from the rest of bar text color.
4)Mem. name--tools--websites---Buy Hits---Report---Open Site links are all now located under the banner show.
5)Daily surf/hits counters are to the left side of bar.
6)New text output areas on bar.
7)Main surfbar holds its look even at a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution.
8)If you use the Ventrino anti-cheat kapcatcha and /or catagories, they are still fully functional on all bars.

Have re-coded a text code to allow its output to be used in surfbar. Can be added up to 3 times (3 different links).(For those of you who don't use text ads at your site, the area can be used to display messages and/or display site logo.)

These 2 bars come in the basic package.

Hello fellow exchange owners,

I am writing this before all of the pooh-pooh hits the fan. Being the business man that I am, I realized after posting my surfbar to the forum that I had neglected to do something important. So tonight Dake and I spent about 1&1/2 hrs. in cordial conversation (hate to dissapoint, no knock down, drag out) about aspects of the surfbar. I intiated the conversation, because as a matter of respect, it was he who first devised the imagebar. After our conversation a few points need to be made:

1)My main objective was to clean up the surfbar appearence and devise a way to put text ads dirrectly into the main bar. Images were an after thought.
2)I paid an outside source to get the images on the surfbar. There was no hack or sharing of information concerning the images.

After having a few etiquette blunders pointed out to me (tactfully, I might add), we have come to a royalty agreement. Some may say why, I say why not. Doing the right thing may not always be expediant for some, but in the end , doing the right thing is what you are rememberd for, because it is the "Right Thing".

How do you add those text ads using Ventrino anyway? All Ive found is the text ads that show up like banners? Members don't have an option for text ads like that? Is this what is added with this mod as well? Or is it a default I cannot find?

KneelBeforeZod good question I've asked this my self a time or two... I would also like to know how to add text links to my site without the banner border...

Thanks for the interest KneelBeforeZod and Sonny126. The surfbars are my own design.
As you can see I had to move all of the links in order to make a place for the text links.
They come in two packages. The upgrade adds some new rows to the surfbar configuration
page and changes one of the text ad codes.
