SYMPTOMS

When you try to login to your BCP or a member tries to login to their account it fails and you are 100% sure the correct username and password combination is being used.

CAUSE

A corrupt cookie or file in the cache can cause the code to fail.

SOLUTION

1. Use a different browser to login.

2. If that works then shutdown all open browsers and delete the cookies and cache for the browser that failed (Control Panel/Internet Options).

3. Restart your PC

BCP ONLY

Check your config.inc.php file (in the /data folder) has not been modified since you have not been able to login. If it has restore the latest one available from your backups and try again.

For the login to work you musy have a username, password and the website name must be set correctly. One way to check these are correct is to login via FTP and check $gAdmin, $gPass and $gWebsiteName each have a value.
