The flexibility of the two template systems can make it difficult to start your edit sometimes. If you have the standard installation you can go direct to your /templates/standard directory and begin to make changes which will be instantly reflected on your site.
If you have taken a copy of the templates and are running them from a separate directory then there is one additional step. Make sure you edit the styles tag in the meta variables of the page header:- CODE <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="templates/standard/purple/styles.css"> If you have selected purple you would change the line to look like the above, "templates/standard/purple/" replaces the {styles} tag. Editing the text on an individual page First thing you need to do is download a copy for local editing, the easiest method for this is FTP. Search the FAQ if you need help with FTP. Assuming you are working from the default installation and want to change the wording on the downline page of your website at http://pro.trafficzoo.biz/downline.php (Note we are using the pro version of our demo site at traffic zoo - if you wish to login use Demo/Demo as the username and password). SNAG_0023.gif ( 9.22K ) Number of downloads: 232 Using your FTP program navigate to the /templates/standard and download the download.tpl file for editing. Make sure you take a copy and keep it safe in case you make a mistake during the edit. Use your favourite editor to make your changes then when ready overwrite the old copy by uploading the changed file to it's original folder. |
